What is WASC accreditation?
Why is accreditation needed?
How does the accreditation process work?
ACS WASC (Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges) is one of the leading accrediting organizations in the United States, providing accreditation to more than 5,500 educational institutions around the world, including schools in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Kazakhstan.
WASC accreditation confirms that a school meets high educational standards and is committed to continually improving the quality of teaching.
Evaluators assess the school's goals and programs. Recommendations for improvement are provided based on the visit's results.
is not just a formal process, but an important step in our quest for continuous improvement. It allows us to improve the quality of education, make it more transparent and create new opportunities for students and teachers.
helps us focus on the needs of each student, providing a personalised approach. We actively use data to measure progress and improve our programmes, and place a particular emphasis on developing the global competencies that are essential for our students to succeed in life and career in a constantly changing world. WASC accreditation confirms that our school/organization is committed to meeting the highest international standards and is continually working to improve the learning process.
Student - centred philosophy
Every 6 years the school undergoes reaccreditation, assessing progress and providing reports for further improvement.
The Commission reviews the results of the self-assessment and work on recommendations and provides final recommendations for further development.
WASC accreditation:- Confirms the quality of education : ensures that the school provides quality education that meets international standards.
- Ensures recognition of certificates : certificates of graduates from accredited schools are recognized in other countries, which facilitates admission to foreign educational institutions.
- Encourages development : The accreditation process includes self-assessment and improvement planning, which encourages the school to continually develop.
The school analyses its activities and develops an improvement plan based on the recommendations received.
Following a successful visit, the school is awarded the status of an accredited institution, confirming that it meets WASC's high educational standards.
